Now that North Korea has tested a nuke, yes. I'm worried. We're talked about 'survival stuff' for our entire marriage, just this week DH says he's going to go to school to be an RN for the training and to get enough $$ to move away from the city where it's safer.

I think China is going to slap NK here shortly. As China is getting tired of the Tyrants tantrums.

One thing I do not know enough about is China. Keeping up with all the different 'attitudes' of the world is mind boggling! I hope things go nice and smooth for another 3-4 years at least.. I need hubby to get through school and our homestead secured first please!

Yup.
I've been slacking off. I guess I got the feeling that I was getting a little too paranoid. Now, I think I need a nice heaping helping of paranoia to get my butt in gear and add to the food stores--especially since the beau and his son will be moving in soon.
Plus, always looking for a good excuse to buy more ammo!
It will be another good two years before we'll be at the rural property, having had some serious setbacks. Fortunately, I'm really close with my neighbors here in the city, and for an urban area, we've got a good network of preparedness-minded folk to band up with. (One neighbor just gifted me a cool cleaning kit for one of my rifles today, if that says anything.)
Now that I think about it, it might be a good idea to round up a couple of those neighbors for a beer or two to talk about some possibilities.
Bummer my neighbor out at the property is such a jackass--I'm pretty sure that he'd be a MAJOR problem if we had to bug out to there.

Lupine I am sorry to hear the property isn't going so well. Was hoping you were going to be able to move there soon!

You know, I was in a very rural spot on a secluded 40 acres and had a neighbor from Hades! I had my life threatened, my animals stolen, the fish in my pond netted out while I was gone to pick up feed & groceries and had equiptment and farm supplies stolen on a regular basis. I'm in a small city/town of 22,000 but it's safe here and I actually have less problems than I did on that secluded 40 acres because the neighbors I have around me are all self reliant minded and also know about property boundaries and respect-something that wasn't evident on the farm. So I do understand why you're worrying about bugging out to a place that may be more hostile than where you're at.
