Well, here's March's sign-up. Here's a couple of questions for you all...
1. Do you all want your names left on each month unless you remove it, or would you rather sign up each month?
2. Do you want to try a themed swap? (I was thinking "Spring" for March.)
Each month I'll unsticky the previous month's sign-up so we don't end up with a ton of sticky's. I'd just keep one running swap thread, but I don't see a button that will zap you right to the end post... this thread could get long... lol.

Yes on a themed swap...
I'm thinking about keeping names on list.... my first inclination is yes, but I'm thinking of any strange ramifications.
And this reminds me to cut out my fabrics and get them in the mail box on Monday.

I think a themed swap would be fun... espically nice for any of us quilters. I'll be mailing my FQ's Wednesday due to work and the funeral. If we keep names on the list, then those on the list would need to realize they were expected to participate untill they notified the list or hostess otherwise. Then again, part of me says it's not so hard to just put your name on each month's list and avoid any confusion. What are all your thoughts on this? It's our swap, so input is always good. Kaza

I think sign up each time is better. It will make sure there are no snaffu's like somewhere else just happened. Communication is much better than non-communication.

I think signing up for each new swap would be a better idea too. That way, each months swap(with it's theme) would be a new sticky, and no one would forget they were 'in' until it was too late. Also that way; if you know you've got something coming up; you can just skip one without a lot of hassles. More than likely, I won't be in the May swap due to the baby coming and my time being committed for other projects. But, I'll decide when it gets closer. ;D My FQ's are going out in Mondays mail-I picked up the padded envelopes today.

I'd like to join the next one. Thinking signing up per swap is best. And themes are cool. Are we allowed to make suggestions? Maybe one month we can do a flannel fat quarter swap so we can maybe do a flannel rag quilt (I think they call it a rag quilt where you sew the seams upright and cut them to make them frilly?

i have a couple of questions.
1) Spring Fabrics as in? Are we talking light pastels? Flowery? Butterflies, lady bugs, etc type stuff? Sure would appreciate some ideas and suggestions.
2) Do we send everyone the same color/themed Fat quarter or send different ones to different people?
3) Our of curiosity, how many signed up for the last one? (It doesn't make a difference to me how many, just curious, to me the more the merrier)

So far, there's no rule that all the people have to get the same fabric, but you can if you want to. The first swap had 4 people on the list, it'll probably grow a bit each month though. Add me to the March Swap! I'm hooked. I just saw some pretty spring like material and this will give me a good excuse to add to my stash! I just mentioned a flannel swap on the Feb FQ thread. Seems we all like flannel! ;D

Oh, I just treated myself to about 15 different 1/2 yards at Hobby Lobby today. I think I'll 1/2 some of them as my contributions and put them in those mild, dull envelopes I bought and send them out.... and I didn't even realize I was doing so well. Angie
