Warez loosely speaking tends to be crack or hacked copys of software( i.e. Not legal). That being said there is some warez that are freeware or shareware. Freeware is exactly like it sounds, Free. Share ware is sometimes refered to as crippleware as some of t is free for a short period of time then you have to register it or donate money etc to make it active again. I tend to use alot of freeware stuff because you can find alot of it out there that is as good or better than the pricy stuff you have to pay for.

If you need a Photoshop-like program and you are worried about Warez? May I suggest an alternative program that is ported from Linux to Windows? It's called GIMP - short for "GNU Image Manipulation Program". I run Ubuntu Linux, before I had a Macintosh but it died. GIMP comes with Ubuntu Linux. GIMP has many of the same strengths as Photoshop - and GIMP is free. www.gimp.org/windows/ |
