I'm glad you could help her be more comfortable. That bed will make her days more tolerable I'm sure. It's so hard to know what to say to friends who are going through so much pain. I'm here if you need or want to talk.

good news a bad news
joyce is up and walking. not totaly dependant on folks to wipe her butt any more
but the docs say the cancer is progressing fast
when she was flat on her back she set a goal to walk again and go outside and warm her face in the sun if even just one more time
she has done that and more. i am very proud of her.
with great help from a neighbor The roof is on. sorry ,no pics as he is Amish and i assumed that he would not apreciate the takeing of pics. I should have ask but didnt
1 1/2 inch pink styrofoam filled the gaps on the roof. then a covering of single bubble material. for those of you not familiar with it it basicly is reflective tin foil and bubble wrap. I would sugest double bubble for anyone looking to do the same. i used single bubble as it was given to me for free. the tin went on nicly but i didnt get enough to go past the eve on the north and south. this i will have to add to or get a corner trim piece to cover it with
it is still very mexican in there and the only way to get back there was to take the horse and buggy to haul the tools needed
Yes, my first buggy ride since i was 6 yo and old Norris Price took me and my sister in a pony cart
Funny note. I have gained alot of waight this winter (food is my friend) and i am now well over 300#. at one point Thomas thought we should get off the buggy and walk along side. I sware the mare turned her head to me and mouthed THANK YOU to me so Thomas wouldnt hear.
I got to thinking later. woulnt the horse use dutch instead of english? or maybe thier horses are even bi ligual.
any way the roof is on and i will get pics soon

Oh Bob, I'm glad to hear the news about Joyce's ability to reach her goal of walking again but saddened to hear this dreaded disease is progressing rapidly. You know, you really should write comedy skits-the description of the horses thank you had me cracking up!! People ask why I don't ride horses-I'm afraid the ASPCA would be after me. You place sounds like it's coming together nicely; it may be going slower than you'd like but you're certainly making progress!! I've never seen that bubble material, I'll have to check it out for future reference. Congratulations Bob, soon you'll be in your new cabin!!!

Bob, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. From your previous posts about her, it was apparent that she meant a great deal to you. I understand about projects taking way more time than you figure-I do that all the time. It sounds like you're going to have one really nice 'shack' once you get it finished. I'm so glad you're back online so you can share your life and sense of humor with us-we've all been pretty busy keeping the excitement levels up . You've got a lot of catching up to do-did you know Kaza is engaged?? Welcome back!!

congrats Kaza and thanks kathy I wish i had pics clear threw the construction the roof is evy green tin, door and windows are all used except for the huge one on the east side. i had a used one in there but it lost the seal while putting it in i guess and it foged up so bad i couldnt see ont of it. so i found a new one at a discout place for 99 bucks the dirt road back to it runs almost compleatly threw hickery and oak timber, with the exception of a couple clearings that i use for food plots for the wild game. i have not moved in yet so it is not at all unusual to find deer bedded down in the smal yard or the leaves all scratched up from the turkys feeding on the spillage from the bird feeders you should see the rough cutt oak board siding and paneling, inside and out. it realy looks just as i seen it in my minds eye ( that doesnt usualy happen with my projects, they useualy morph into something compleatly diferent)
