How long can you keep the garlic bulbs?
I like fresh garlic in some things I make but after I use one or two cloves I am done with the garlic and might not use it again for a while.
How long can I keep it in the fridge? I do hate to waste the rest of it.

It'll keep for a few months, in my experience, but don't put it in the fridge because the moisture can make it moldy. Just leave it somewhere out on the counter. I keep all mine in a little wicker basket that sits on the microwave. When they finally get too dry to use as fresh, I peel the cloves and grind them up and I have dried garlic granules, so none goes to waste. ;D

Thanks you guys; I never thought about taking the cloves that dried up and making dried garlic!

I never thought about not putting it in the fridge. I have always done that but it is out now. Thanks!
Also good tip about the minced garlic!
