I came across this website that poked a bit of fun at Weight Watchers recipe cards from 1974.

I think WW has come a looooong way from back then. Some of the highlights include Fluffy Mackeral Pudding and Chilled Celery Log. Did people really eat this stuff???

When I was a young teen my mother sent my dad to the store for canned salmon. She wanted to make salmon patties for dinner. ;D

Well even in the early 60's sockeye salmon was expensive. So being a thrifty sort; he saw cans of mackeral for 1/4 the price so he bought a whole case!!
He came home proud as a peacock with his frugal discovery.

You know I don't think we ever did use that case of mackeral up before I left home some 8 yrs later!!
