Dear Readers,
I go my favorite Chinese Resturant for one dish basically and one dish only and was wondering if anyone here would know how to find a recipe for it. The owner said it is simply called Baked Crabmeat. A search for this recipe nets me nothing but I can give you a list of ingredients and maybe someone here knows what I am speaking of. Imitation Crabmeat Celery RedOnions (sometimes) Cream Sauce Butter
This dish is then mixed all together thrown in a dish and baked. I am assuming it has alot of butter in only because it tastes buttery and leaves a puddle of it on plate....lol
Any help would be most appreciated...

Hi, Najida! Welcome to the forum!
I don't know the recipe you're asking about, but given the information you've provided, here's what I would do:
Make a cream sauce (do you know how?)
Sautee the celery and onions in a big blob of melted butter.
Toss the sauteed vegetables, with the butter, into the cream sauce with the imitation crab meat pieces, stir and pour into a buttered casserole dish then bake at 300 degrees for about 10 or 15 minutes or just until the top starts to brown.
Hmmm... that sounds so good I think I'm going to have to make that for dinner!
By the way, no offense, but if you don't know how to make a good bechemel (cream sauce), let me know and I can tell you how. It's not hard.

Welcome Najida.
Your partial recipe has me drooling. I think I'll experiment with that when I buy some crab meat. Sounds wonderful.

Me Too
I don't know what food you are talking about. Sounds yummy, almost like what our Chinese place calls 'Happy Family' or 'Seafood Combo'. They use cornstarch instead of flour, many of the 'sauces' are chicken broth (broth makes it light in flavor and color) and cornstarch. That's what they put on the green beans that every buffet I've ever been to has.
I want to know how to make 'Texan bread pudidng' - no alcohol or rasins light cinnamon, any recipes?
And if you do find a good Chinese recipe site please let me know, I want to know how to make Mushroom Chicken (the sauce I can't figure out) and steamed pork meatballs (dim sum).
