Do you roast it? Smoke it? Grill it? Fry? Do something else with it?

I will be injecting mine with Cajun Butter and roasting it. It's really good; slightly spicy but not actually hot.
I do my stuffing in a separate casserole dish so there's not a weird combo of flavors in the gravy. I use the giblets and neck to make the broth for the gravy.
I've always wanted to try frying one; I even have a propane fryer but every year they put out all those warnings and scare the chef right out of me! ;D

Lately we've been cooking two. I do one in the oven in a cooking bag. DH does one outside in the deep fryer with alot of cajun seasoning. Both are yummy and juicy.

I brine my turkey overnight then chuck it into the oven.
Don't worry about deep frying your turkey, Kathy - my brother fixes his turkey this way every year. Only once did he set the grass on fire, and it was just a little. ;D (Seriously.)

I roast it! I have one of those turkey fryers though, got it as a gift. Never used it with oil in it, but it works great at boiling water for plucking turkeys, lol.

We do the brown paper bag method and I HIGHLY recomend it. The most wonderful/beautiful and tender/juicy bird I've ever had and it only took about 2 hours to cook!
Great stuff! I'm sure you can google for the recipe!

A little salt, pepper, butter and garlic, stuff and slide in a Reynolds cooking bag. Comes out moist and tender.
