I was looking at a cookbookat work. I seen a tip that may help, I think it will help me. 1/2 cup of ground beef equals to about 1/4 pound of ground beef. Um, I thought that was interesting.

I read this yesterday, and could not figure out what you were saying because I read it as "1/2 cup of ground beef equals to about 1/4 cup of ground beef." I decided to reread it today and now figured out what you are saying. It is a good tip. I always have trouble figuring out meat sizes. Like what is 8 oz. of steak? lol I think I heard once if you make a fist, that is about 8 oz of steak! This one will come in handy because if I have to buy hamburger at the store (gasp, horror!) I buy it in a big family pack and then divide it...now I'll know exactly how much a lb is!

Well, I *really* didn't read it right - I was expecting a conversation or recipe about ground beef tip s. I couldn't figure out why anyone would grind beef tips. But that is a neat tip! I think it's even easy enough for me to remember... /Via

LOL starfire! However, it's three to one so, technically, we three blind mice are right and you are wrong.
So...ground beef tips it is! And remember: 1/2 cup equals 1/4 cup but only when you're measuring ground beef (tips).

Well, that makes better since, you should have wrote that in the cookbook and not that other person.
