When I was young I used to eat beef liver once or twice a month. It's now been years since I've eaten any. I guess I am just wondering about all the toxins and antibiotics and "stuff" that would be in the liver. Does anyone else wonder if it is safe to eat organ meats nowadays?

I Love liver but haven't had it since the last package of my homegrown was cooked up. I do worry about the toxins and 'junk' that's fed to the cattle so I do't eat organ meats any longer. When the day comes that I have my own meat again, then I will thoroughly enjoy my 'innard dinners'. PS. I don't eat store bought chicken livers either and I love those too.
