I thought this would be an interesting question.
What is the name of your favorite recipe and where did you get it?

I have LOTS of favorite recipes and the gut to prove it! My favorite usually seems to be what I'm having at the time. I'll try to pick one and get back to you.

I make up most of my favorites, things like main dishes.
I generally use recipes only for baking. Making a cake or pie depends more on exact measurements.

I guess if I had to pick one recipe it would be my mom's recipe for Turtle Cake. It was my birthday cake every year, and it was super easy.
But we are serious collectors of recipes. We have a three-shelf bookshelf of cookbooks, plus binders, plus internet printouts...

My favorite recipe would have to be Alton's brined turkey. And my mum's chocolate chip cookies. And MIL's banana pudding - it's to die for. I think I just like food in general /Via

Ingredients:
2 cups almond flour
1½ cups whey powder
1 Tbs. xanthan gum
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup olive oil
1¼ cups warm water
Instructions:
Combine flour, whey, xanthan gum, baking powder and salt. Poor oil on top. Slowly pour in water, using spatula to mix ingredients. Stop mixing as soon as dough forms.
Bake in parchment-lined loaf pan at 375ºF until bread is golden and a pick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
Cool completely on rack before slicing.
Makes 16 slices, about 140 calories, 12 grams protein, and 1 net carb each

Process still not complete. Subcontractor Seek Now took too long to actually come. They cancelled the first appt. 10 minutes after it was to start. Inconvenienced the roofer who came here for nothing. Second time was over an hour late for appt. Claims adjuster is rude and does not listen or discuss. He took a week to return my call and then only gave me about 2 minutes of phone time. He also ignores my roofer requests. Had him on hold for over 20 minutes when he did finally get him on the phone. The roofer was on hold for over 20 minutes and had to answer another call while on the hold so lost the call. They will not cover my damaged gutters. Says they weren't hail damaged although photos show dents. Claims I had no hail damage at all..only wind damage. As a nearly 50 year customer I am not real happy right now. I removed my deceased husband from the policy at the end of April and most mailings about the claim still have his name only on the address. I guess I should be grateful that you are accepting the claim but i was expecting better service. Hopefully things improve some but I am not impressed at all right now.
