You're not alone, Kaza. I am counting the weeks until spring, yet up here, it's hard to predict exactly when that will be. I am so anxious to fire up my gro-lights, but it's just a tad early yet. This weekend I really need to take some time to organize my area and supplies so I have a more efficient work area. On the nicer days just to beat my spring fever, I have been out raking leaves as it dries off, picking up branches, anything I can thing of to just be outdoors. Deb

Some of my Fruit trees came a month early. I know they are not seeds. But I had to go out and plant the poor things when they arrived yesterday. Still have to get the Huckleberry plants in the ground.

I'm trying to restrain myself! Last year about this time, I decided to wet a few bean and pea seeds that I had saved from the year before, just to see if they'd sprout, and they did. Well, I couldn't just toss them in the trash, so I planted them in pots and had bean and pea plants growing in my front window. They made beans and peas before it was time to plant them outside! Only a few, not enough for dinner, but it was an interesting conversation piece.
This year, I'm going to wait. I AM, I AM going to wait!

Wow, Lannie. Nice to know you are from SD. I lived there my entire life until I bought this place in early April, yet it was the end of July before I moved.
I know. That is what I keep telling myself daily...It's only January...Patience is a virtue, or so they say. Deb

It's been cold, windy, icy, snowy, and even rainy the past few days....yep, I'd love to plant some things, but that ain't happening for a few months at least...

Itching doesn't even describe my longing to plant seeds. I bought some early starters and some indoor herbs just so I can plant at the end of January instead of March.

Kaza, I have the planting the garden blues badddd. I have already ordered so many seeds :-XLooks like my garden is going to be an acre instead of a garden. Yesterday, I took my strawberry plants out of their pots and planted those. It is soooooo nice for Jan. that I want to go till up the garden and start planting. I got some more gardening catalogs in. I have ordered 6 lbs of taters. ;D I missed having my own this year. I also have ordered grapevines. tnborn

I have been so tempted because our weather has been so very mild this winter. Usually I hold off until the end of Feb. at least, but I have been thinking about at least starting a few tomatoes and keep potting them up for that giant tomato plant look. Deb
