We have a little dwarf bunny pet who is pretty good about using his litter box which we fill with aspen shaving. I keep seeing all the poo on top and think that would be great in the compost. Probkem is his urine which soaks down into the shavings. I just don't know if that would be good to compost. Any thoughts and ideas?

Compost it! Actually all the pelleted poops, rabbit, sheep, goat can be added to the garden without composting. But feel free to compost it all.

If it's aspen chips/shavings you can just use everything in the bunny litter box! No need to scoop out just the 'goodies'. ;D I mixed rabbit dropping in with my potting soil for my herb containers. Those herbs were happy happy!!

That's a wonderful idea, but I agree that you shouldn't actually have to compost it. Spot composting would save a lot of time and still have the same effect. I have always had wild outdoor bunnies doing their natural fertilizer thing, if you know what I mean. The years I had goats, when we cleaned the barn, we would just spread the manure and straw directly on the garden to be tilled in. Deb
