Went out to pull the mulch off the strawberries and asparagus. Lo and behold there were four nice big asparagia sticking up. they are now in my belly thanks to microwave, butter and salt ;D ;D

There's something about those first spring vegetables that makes them taste better than any the rest of the season!! ;D I'm glad spring has arrived in your area!!

Just go ahead, Slim, just make us drool. Nothing like fresh asparagus. I'm jealous, sir. Must be nice to live in the warmer southern parts. Deb

We are just having that typical midwest March weather now...One wk. nice, then the next week is stormy, icy, windy, and snowy as this wk. is again. It seems we just melt the snow, then get hit with another round. I have perennials, tulips, and other spring bulbs poking their heads through already after last wk. when it was warmer. One of the first things I always l look forward to in the spring are my regular and garlic chives. Now I realize I should have put some up by the house. No sign of life yet, but I think it's more an location and exposure thing. Patience is a virtue...Deb
