I'm the proud owner of 2 beautiful Hibiscus-one rose pink and one a lovely orange. I may go back and get the yellow one as well as the deep red one. The local nursery here is selling them for $4.95 each(half price) and they're big & healthy. Now, other than learning they're heavy feeders-I've never grown a hibiscus. I replanted them in pots of the size the nurseryman suggested and they never even wilted from shock. ;D The nurseryman said they will bloom all summer! ;D Any info or care tips would be greatly appreciated-tropicals are a new experiment for me. Do they need to be brought in to a garage or basement during the Arkansas winters? I am planning on posting some pics of the huge happy blooms.

I grew up in Florida where they grow year round and are a native species.
We bought one locally last year and it died. It was supposed to be a variety developed for cooler climes. If I were to try one again I would bring it indoors (garage) over the winter. Do this at least the first few years. We do this with our banana trees and they do just fine.
