The title for this forum is Gardening for Food and FUN.
Let's concentrate on the fun part this morning.....
Do you have a gnome sitting in your garden?
How about a pink flamingo?
There was a article in the local paper how the senior prank this year was the seniors stealing garden gnomes all over the county and then putting them in front of the high school. It all got me to thinking how many people really do have gnomes, lol.
Plus its fun to talk how your garden or yard is decorated. So lets share the funniest thing decorating our yard, the coolest thing sitting out there that you enjoy...and maybe, just maybe you have something sitting out there in your yard that you hope no one sees!
I can't confess to a gnome, but I can to a dwarf. My mom use to do ceramics years ago and made my dd a snowhite and the seven dwarfs. The only one left is sleepy and he is out in the flowerbed.
The funniest has to be the plastic resin "face." Its a nose, eyes, mouth that is shaded to look like tree bark and placed on a tree trunk. It really looks like the tree is real....and has a face. The dogs use to bark and bark at it when we first put it up.
I don't have anything embarrassing out in the yard (at least not to me, lol). But I will say my grandpa made this huge cartoon bunny that was about five feet tall, made out of wood and painted. The bunny held this sign that said "Come to my house, Easter Bunny!" It was the most cheesy looking thing, but grandpa thought the kids would get a kick out of it....the problem was the kids might have thought it was cute when they were 2-3 years old, but they were older and well...it was just embarrassing, so we would put it out right before Grandpa came over and then take it down after he left.
