I had a friend drop off a bunch of cactus's (cacti?) and they are crammed into a bucket with her potting soil she uses in it. I looked but I don't have any potting soil for cactus left and I'm wondering if I can just add sand or something to regular potting soil when I put them into pots?
If nothing else I can wait and get some wednesday but kind of wanted to get them planted tomorrow.

Goodness, do you really think the cactus plants will know? lol
I thought I wasn't going to town until tomorrow but I have to run to the post office so might as well pick up a bag of the mix. Actually, I think throwing some sand and ash from the mountain with the potting soil will do it. Cool!
Thanks Kathy!!

Deb, I think that site with all of the various potting mixes is geared mainly at the obsessive/compulsive gardener. You know the type-every plant get's special treatment. I'm more into guerrilla gardening-I put it in the ground and it's on it's own! My plants feel special just because I occassionally water them!
