as was guessed, of course i already had plants started, lol. so i was told to get over here and provide inspiration! got catnip, lemon balm, oregano, marjoram, thyme, sage, basil, lavender, rosemary, cilantro, lovage, valerian, hyssop, flax, savory, pot marigold, nasturtium, poppy, blue vervain, yarrow, horehound and chamomile. also got various kinds of peppers started. and all in my bedroom...

Goth, did you start the lavender and rosemary from seed? I've heard that's hard to do, and I just bought plants when we moved here. I left the lavender outside, but brought the rosemary in for the winter. So if you started from seed, how was it? Give details! ~Lannie

I planted a rectangular box with basil, rosemary, catnip, cat mint (they look the same, can't tell the difference) and oregano. Everything but the rosemary came up pretty quickly. Then, much, much later, after I gave up, two little rosemary plants came up. They're still tiny, 'bout 6 or 7 leaves on them. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, I've used the basil a couple of times in recipes. Fun!
I'm drying some catnip (or mint, still not sure) for the fur babies.
