I have a sore throat and I basically feel like dung. I feel tired and have huge black circles under my eyes. I had to work today so I haven't been able to lie down. My ears feel like fluid is building up in them. Any advice is welcomed. tnborn

Bless your little heart. (pets on tnborn). Sounds like you are on the way to an inner ear problem if you don't do something - got anything to dry up the drainage? Is it sinus infection or cold doing it?
You need some chicken soup, hot water bottle.

For me, a sore throat means a cold or virus is coming on. When it hits me, I try to hit the hot homemade veggie soups...anything with lots on onion, a natural antibiotic, herb teas, diluted fruit juice, extra vitamins, stay warm, and extra rest. Hot steamy baths can work miracles, too, especially for females. Massive amts. of hot salsa on whatever your favorite food is, works far better then any over-the-counter decongestant...I used to do that for my girls, too. It's about the only time we ever indulged in corn tortilla chips. Eat freely and don't worry about calories. Please keep us posted as to how you are doing, alright? Deb

Besides everything else mentioned, you could also try Sambucol.
Hope you feel better soon !
auntieemu - the Vick's reminds me of my mother. She use to slather me in Vick's; back, chest, face, up my nose ;D . To this day, I still have Vick's on hand.... When I was real young, I use to eat Vick's by the hands full along with lemons. Strange child or taste buds as a child I should say.

Thanks everyone. I believe it is the flu. I run a temp then feel like I'm freezing. My tongue is so white from all the toxins. My throat hurts and I am congested. Yep, I'm nauseated. tnborn

Sorry I'm late getting on here, but I had another friend die. This is happening too often. But that's another story.
Terri, it concerns me that you say your tongue is white. That's a sign of yeast overgrowth. And ear and sinus infections are 99% fungal, NOT bacterial as most doctors claim. You may well have the flu also, but I think you definitely have a fungal problem first and foremost. Go out and get some olive leaf capsules and start taking them 3 or 4 at a time, 2 or 3 times a day. You'll have some die-off symptoms which are like the flu, but since you're sick anyway, just do it and get that stuff out of your system. Then get hold of some good REFRIGERATED human-strain probiotics and take those to repopulate your gut. You don't want to end up with something more serious farther on down the line. Olive leaf is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral, so no matter what it is, the olive leaf will kill it. It won't harm your beneficial bacteria in the gut like regular antibiotics will, either.
The friend of mine that just died, died from a massive fungal infection in his lungs caused by repeated courses of antibiotics because of a mis-diagnosis by his doctor. (The doctor thought he had pneumonia.) He was on some heavy duty antibiotics, and had 3 courses of them, plus steroids, over the last year, but he's still dead and he didn't need to be.
Maybe I'm a little over-passionate about this, but I just learned today that he died, so it's fresh. I don't want to hear the same thing about you in 6 months, OK?
Hugs, Lannie
