Preheat: 350 degrees.
1st layer: Make a soft dough using 1 1/3 cups Bisquick and about 1/3 cup milk. Spread in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking dish
2nd layer: Brown 1 ½ pounds ground chuck and ¾ cup chopped onion; drain. Add 1 ½ package taco seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt and about 1 cup water. Simmer until juices thicken. Spread on top of dough.
3rd layer: Combine 1 cup sour cream, ½ cup mayonnaise and 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese. Spread over meat.
4th layer: Slice one or two large ripe tomato. Place over meat.
5th layer: Sprinkle slice jalapeno peppers on top of tomatoes. How many depends on how tough you are.
6th layer: Sprinkle with 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.
Bake until cheese is all gooey and starting to brown (about 40 minutes)
I first had this where I work; I have looked and looked for this recipe. This is one of my favorite dishes, it will be yours also.
