Fancy Oatmeal Deluxe Crockpot Oatmeal (This recipe yields 7 servings) 1 C quick cooking oats 2 C milk 1/4 C brown sugar 1 T butter - melted 1/4 tsp. Salt 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon 1 C finely chopped apple 1/2 C raisins and/or dates 1/2 C chopped walnuts or almonds Grease the inside of Crockpot. Throw all ingredients inside Crockpot and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours. Stir before serving. Great served with milk.
I learned the hard way...Use a crockpot cooking bag when you make this and clean-up will be a cinch. I love the smell in the morning of apple snits (dried apples), raisin, and cinnamon coming from the crockpot. I do not use any nuts in mine. I add a little more sugar as I like mine sweet. If you do not use a liner in the crockpot, you will have a thick build-up on the edge which takes FOREVER to clean. This recipe is also good with diced dried apricots. We really enjoy it.

That recipe sounds really tasty. I like the smell of cinnamon wafting from the kitchen; this would be a nice way to wake up. I'll have to pick up some of those crock pot liners, I don't normally use them.
