Baked Onion Rings 1 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes or similar cereal 2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 2 large sweet onions 2 eggs or equivalent of egg substitute 1.) Mix the first 5 ingredients in a bowl. 2.) Slice onions into 1/2 thick slices. Separate into rings. 3.) In a small bowl, beat eggs until frothy. 4.) Dip onion rings into egg, then into seasoned crumbs 5.) Place on baking sheets sprayed with nonstick spray 6.) Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min. until crispy. For smaller families, it's easy to just make a 1/2 recipe. These won't quite give you the same satisfaction the deep-fried onion rings might, but at least they are better for you. Deb

I love onion rings I didn't think about anything but frying them. I will have to try this!
