½ cup butter or margarine, soften
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 Baby Ruth candy bars (2.1 Ounce each) chopped
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture. Stir in candy bars. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly Browned, immediately remove to wire racks to cool.
Yields: 4 dozen
My mother used to make these cookies when she was a little girl.

made them last night , very good . i was secretly hoping i wouldn't like them. so i could use the smiliy that throws up. i haven't found a way to work that one into a post yet.

There's a post up in the general section about dead skunks...maybe you could try there? Surely a dead skunk warrants a vomit smiley... These cookies sound like the kind where I eat half the batch raw, feel a little ill but soldier on and bake the rest...and then eat all of those for dinner /VM

Deb ;D actually i'm fairly good at baking. matter a fact i'm pretty good at cooking anything that goes in the oven, cheese cake to lasagna. i cheat with my bread, bread machine ;D. however, i'm horrible at cooking on the stovetop .
