Hard to believe but these are easy, good, and weird!
Dump Cake (Dutch oven version)
Put cherry pie filling, yellow cake mix, some butter and cinnamon and suger in an old cast iron dutch oven. Then dig a hole in the ground and throw some hot coals on the bottom, set the dutch oven in the hole and put a few more coals on the lid. Then let it sit in there for about a half hour or so.
Dump Cake (oven version)
Start with one package of cake mix, add three-fourths of a cup of water and one can of pie filling. (That's it - no oil, no eggs.) Stir until thoroughly blended, pour into greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 375-degrees for 50 minutes. Delicious combinations are yellow cake mix with peach pie filling -- chocolate cake mix with cherry pie filling or yellow cake mix with apple-spice pie filling. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top or drizzled frosting, if desired.
Dump cobbler
Fill a coated 9x13 baking pan about 1/2 full with fresh picked berries (or frozen if you don't have a fresh supply)
Sprinkle a little sugar over the top.
Break up the lumps in a box of yellow cake mix and sprinkle it over the berries.
Pour a can of Sprite over the mix and berries.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil Bake at 350 for 50 minutes Remove the aluminum foil and bake for 15 more minutes at 350

You use the mix right out of the box, so you are sprinkling the cake mix directly onto the berries.
This is a great one if you are in a hurry for a dessert.

UM, I might make one of these for the family picnic in Oct. I think I'll try one first and take it to the girls at work to test it out first. LOL
