Anyone have calves yet? How many? What breeds? All I have right now are yearlings so I don't even have anything bred at the moment.

I do not have any cattle at this point.
Need to start looking for a couple of smaller breed steers.

I've been waiting to post. But my two hefiers ( Black Angus ) both are proud mamma's. They both had little bull calves ( the dinner of champions ;D horrible aren't I ? Can't help myself, I just love steak ). And we didn't have to help either one have their babies. YEAH !!!! Thank goodness, I was not looking forward to pulling a calf ( or helping pull a calf I should say ). But they were bred to a small bull.
The babies are just having a ball. Fun watching them, run and kick.
Both mama's are wonderful. Good mama's. YES !
One of these years, I will hook back up my scanner and break out the camera and start posting some pictures. But I hate my scanner, it always gives me fits. My computer doesn't like the software and it's such a pain....

Ahh yes Angus does make some wonderful steaks. I raised Reds for a few years then switched for some reason I have yet to figure out. Ok the few Jerseys were understandable (sweet little deadheaded things they were) but the Holstiens? Good lawd (more insane than any Angus I ever met lol). Since I started the thread I have since sold off all of mine (going with goats only) so I now have no cattle either lol. Cool, pics would be nice.
