Well, Have finally been able to start Theia's (going on 4 year old miniature horse) Harness training.
Did the third day in ground driving with most of the harness on today. Only driving with the halter at this point. She can be a hand full but it taking to it very well. She keeps doing as good as she is should have her in cart within 3 months.
She has always seen her mother driving in cart and worked in Harness...so hopefully she will be as good as Maggie is.

Good for you! By the end of the summer, you'll have a new buggy horse.

Well this is really nice. Do you do parades? Clarksburg, TN has a Christmas parade every year and I remember this wonderful lady bringing her miniture horse and cart for the parade. He was dressed up and she had decorated the cart...... same lady that did the pet therapy at the nursing home. Yes, we brought a horse into the nursing home and around to the patients rooms.

Auntie, Maggie would love to do parades, nursing homes and all that. But I do not have any way to transport her. Maybe some day.
I know of folks that take their minis to nursing homes...and the minis are always a hit and well loved! ;D
