This is the day for me to post pictures, I guess. I'm just having so much fun watching these silly birds explore their world. Some of the things they do just crack me up. Here's Odin and one of his girls "mountain climbing." That's part of the woodpile, but shhhhhh, don't tell them that! I was waiting for one or both of them to get all the way to the top, but they (ahem) chickened out before they got there! Now they're on their way back down. Here's Mister Big Stuff himself, Zeus: And Odin, always second, but he tries harder! Here's everybody out enjoying the sunshine this morning: The guineas were on walkabout at the time, so they didn't get in that last picture. ~Lannie

What a pretty flock! Now we have to figure out how you can do a podcast so we get the sounds from your farm. The roosters crowing then the guineas chiming in.... ;D
What is the name of your farm btw?

"Love Acres" Rich laughingly refers to it as Love Achers, because at the end of every day he's saying "Ow, Ow, Ow!" I was getting a kick out of it this morning, with the roosters crowing, and the guineas making their flight calls as they were flying back and forth at 6:15 this morning. I'm glad we don't have anybody close to us, except Julia, and she should get up earlier anyway, don't you think? How DARE she try to sleep in till 10:00! ~Lannie

I posted some pictures of the guineas on the other thread -- did you guys see those? It's the last post on the "that went well" thread. Of course, I think I have the most beautiful chickens in the whole world! But then I'm very prejudiced! I really am glad I got the Light Brahmas, though. Seeing their stark blacks and whites in the early morning sunshine is absolutely breathtaking. However, when it's been raining and they're all muddy and soppy, they're not quite so pretty. ~Lannie
