Bob, that's great! I know you have been anxiously waiting to add them to your flock . Do you happen to have a picture or a site where I can find out what they look like? I know the eggs will be a real dark brown but what does the chickens look like?

the males look nothing like the hens but i just love the way the hens look as well as the roos
Im only getting one dozen eggs. and they are costing me plenty but i wanted them
I hope i can get them to hatch

Oh they're very pretty! The hens have such a soft, ladylike appearance. That roo is gorgeous-I love the flashy ones!! Good Luck on the incubation-I have every confidence that we'll be getting chick pics in about three weeks from Monday.

Hens look like Favoralles. There was a guy way back when, trying to breed the Wheaten Marans in WA. Looks like someone has managed to do it. Maran's in france...and way back when...came in all the colors of the rainbow. Glad someone is trying to bring them back. They are pretty and that rooster is quite impressive to say the least.

I've never had any Marans so I'm pretty clueless-are those all maran eggs or just the very deep chocolate brown ones? I love the colors of those eggs and I can't wait to see the chicks. I love spring!!

they are al marans ,but the dark ones are from some very good marans. the lighter ones are from the chicks i got from the hatchery last year
