He was trying to run some wire up from the basement following the other wires to an outlet. It was for the antenna of a TV. Anyway, I'm watching for the wire when Bratty Brat hears the scratching noise. He figures, "Oh goody, a mousie!" The darn fool had his whole head in the hole and was going nuts! Then he tried his paw! He is such a fool! I finally had to close him out of the room because he wouldn' let me get in the hole to see the wire.
