I am talking about a pet that stays inside.
Do you leave the radio or TV on for your pet?
I do for company.
I was wondering how many other people do this.

Well, we've got cats and I don't think they care Sometimes I'll go home at lunchtime to start the crockpot for dinner and they don't bother to get out of their napping places. Sometimes they even look downright annoyed that I've woken them. However, my friend had a dog that would tear the house apart while she was at work. She started leaving the TV on and he was much better behaved. /VM

The only indoor pets I have are the birds (tiels) and I put a cd in for them to listen to. Mostly to teach them to say things but they are also fasinated with the stereo.

If I am just gone for a short bit of time like an hour or two, this is terrible, but I actually leave a lamp and the TV on for my indoor Kitty Cat. When I am going to be gone overnight, I leave a radio and her lamp on. She has that figured out, and starts acting up now when I turn the radio on since I don't normally listen to it. I am sure she knows I am going to be gone a long time when I do that, and she is destined to have a long, lonely night to herself. Deb

And here I thought I was the only one who left the TV or Radio on not to mention a light! Yup, if I'm going to be gone during the day it's the radio but if it's in the evening I leave the TV on since there's not as much for them to watch outside!! And I leave the hall light on so they're not in the dark. Boy those kittens have it made!

Nope. We leave a light on and air running, but no sound effects. There are 6 of them in the house, they can entertain themselves.

lol, yeah we do. Usually the tv is left on. Plus we have to cover the couch and loveseat with blankets because although the two dogs don't get up on the furniture when we are home as soon as they hear the door close they lay on the furniture.

I also leave the kitchen and hall light on for them and me (so I won't come home at night and the house is dark)
But if I am gone in the day and I think the house is to dark I will leanve the light on for them also.
