I'm a dog person, but what have I lived with most of my life? (even now) Cats! Sons are cat people.

I used to and still do think of myself as a large/giant breed dog person, but I seem to have turned into a cat woman recently. Nothing like a furry Kitty Cat to snuggle with. Deb

Wow, that was a tough one, I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. But I must say that when I was without both, I pined for a cat, there is just something about having cat "energy" in the house, can't really explain it, I guess I find them very "healing".

I am and have always been a dog person...although we have two cats and no dogs at the moment. Like Deb, I am more specifically a big dog person, particularly Rotties. I still miss my girl If you all will indulge me for a moment... Maggie loved to chase squirrels. When she'd spy one in the back yard, we'd start shouting "Sic 'em! Sic 'em!". She'd bark her head off and make a mad dash for the back door. We'd let her out but by that time, the squirrel had usually run off. Eventually, she started barking and racing around looking for squirrels any time we'd yell Sic 'em! The kids in the neighborhood all thought we had a trained attack dog ;D /VM

I always thought of myself as a large dog person until we were given Missy - a black toy poodle. She was 13 when she died.
Since then we have had a variety of dogs and cats, some in the house and some outside. Since we have great horned owls, any small pets are going to have to be house pets from here on out.

Well,, Gee.... there is no button for a horse. ;D My Mini's are smaller than some dog breeds. ;D So I guess I have to say I am more of a horse....opppss..cat person.

I much prefer cats. I've got all the clinging neediness I need in my 6 kids.

I do have to say I like dogs better, but I found there is always that one little cat I just can't say no to.
