I bought a big jug of spray on Frontline for the animals last summer. Usually I bought the drops, but decided to try the spray since the vet thought it works better.
I really like it a lot better, and it sure goes a long way. It's getting that time again where I will routinely spray the animals and it dawned on me that I don't know how long this stuff keeps. Maybe it isn't good and has lost it's strength?
I can't find an expiration date on it. Does anyone know if it will still be good to use? Sure hope so, cause it's spendy stuff. I have kept it in the house, in a cabinet where the temperature stays steady.

I would call the vet and ask him or go on Frontline's web site. Is there a number anywhere you can call?
I didn't know Frontline had a spray, is the spray new?

I still couldn't find an expiration date, so called the vets this morning and the receptionist went and looked on another bottle there for me. Seems they last a long time (three years), but she said that if it is kept in a cool place it should last longer. Which is good to know, since with 2 large dogs and 5 cats, I didn't use much of the bottle last year even though I was spraying them all the time during the spring and summer months. Well, up until it started to freeze. I don't think the spray is new Starfire. It's not sold in stores. At least I have never seen it this way at feed stores. When we had our youngest dog spayed the vet automatically sprayed her down for her stay overnight. I had told the vet that I do the drops and the vet said that with the spray you can spray them more often then once a month if you need to, and it works better because it instantly makes the fleas drop off dead. She then mentioned that if I used the spray at home the dogs should be able to go at least 3 months inbetween sprays unless they go swimming. So, I spent the $50 and got the spray. It works so much better then the drops ever did, and for the first time my animals went flea free last summer. We didn't have any fleas in the house either. I'm totally sold on the spray. Plus, it lasts so long that the original spray price of $50 is working out to be so much cheaper then the drops which cost an arm and a leg too. The dogs like the spray which surprised me, especially when they hated having the drops put on them....but, maybe it's because I rub them down after I spray, lol. (can you tell I like the spray? )
