Tell us about your working dogs. Do they hunt? Herd? Rescue? Maybe they are certified for therapy work? What sort of work do your dogs do?
I have a Collie, Shilo, that herds... Jade (3/4 rottie puppy) is learning to track and hopefully one day be certified as a Search & Rescue dog... Jessee (1/2 wirehaired dachund 1/2 shitzu) is just "fun" he plays fetch and is a general companion.

My dog is good at 'working' me for treats!
Uh, does that count? ;D

Years ago I trained and worked Labs in field trials and akc hunting trials. I judged for awhile too. Of course we hunted with them. I've also trained dogs for obedience trials, tracking ..... I now have Collies and haven't trained them but I'm really enjoying watching them use their natural instincts. They are a year old and I really should work with them but they are very good and listen fairly well.

That is cool Marchwind! I used to run the AKC circuit to. Obedience, Tracking, and Conformation. I also have tried almost everything else... was a member with the sledding/weight pulling assc....... did Agility and Flyball..... ran a couple dogs through the field trials and herding tests. Back years ago, I used to raise puppies for Leader Dogs for the blind.... but when the kids came, it was too hard on them to keep a puppy for a year or year and half and have to give it up, so I stopped doing it. I used to try about everything with my dogs back when I raised them.
