My husband use to work in a Rendering plant. Never saw any cats or dogs. But I will say, that place stunk. Yuck. Mostly they picked up grease and waste from restaurants and fast food places and grocery stores and the butchers. Most of those places you will see a dumpster out back just for the rendering plant, look inside some time. Besides food for animals, it also goes into makeup that we wear. Nice thought isn't it ? It's also part of the problem with Mad Cow disease. Feeding animal to animal. Some animals can deal with it, such as carnivores, but for herbivores such as cows, it's a problem. I always try and tell people to buy the best dog food they can afford. It makes a world of difference with your pets. A lot of problems that dogs get, such as ear infections and skin problems are due to dog food and the ingredients in it.
