Aww, I love those kittens! I'm sitting here typing with a big orange striped tabby tom laying on me feet. He's not mine, he's a stray that has adopted me. Each night, he is at the door meowing at around 8pm to be let in for dinner. He eats, gets his loving/petting and sleeps on my feet or else under the dining room table until around 4am when he comes to my bedroom door and meows to be let out. He's never had an accident or sprayed in the apartment-he's a wonderful companion!

I have a house cat I adoped the end of last Oct. when she was only 6 wks. old. I didn't worry about her being healthy since she came from a vet's clinic. Someone had abandoned a pregnant female, and they let her have her babies, then adopted them out. She has always been an strictly indoor cat. Well, go figure...First thing this morning when I got up I heard the loudest squaking coming from my garage. I went out and of course, I had accidentally left one of the doors open. Occasionally, I see strays crossing the fields or my little pasture, but none are tame. I was afraid this stray had gone up like they sometimes do, up in the engine of my truck, but I hunted around and she was just back under a box. Wow, is she a little too tame. I can't even walk outside without her, I assume it's a her, dancing around my feet and legs, but she will not quit squaking. Yes, I felt like I had to give her some food, and she was very thirsty. I don't want another indoor cat. Kitty Cat and I make avery happy family. I am most afraid of if she would have fleas or something like that which I could bring indoors and spread. She looks healthy, a little gunk in her eyes at first, but not now. Even if I am just going to let her hang around outside, what else should I be looking for or thinking about? She has to belong to someone, because she is so tame. I'd say she is only a few months old, a yellow tiger stripe. My neighbors are over an acre away, and I know none of them has a cat. In fact one released their indoor cat to the outside, but she is full-grown and I recognize her. I suppose I could gather her up and go walk around asking people if this is their cat? I don't know. Just see if she goes away. She seems to think my garage is home, but she is bothering my cat. I am finally playing loud tunes so mine mellows out rather than chase window to window. Here I thought my Kitty Cat was a loud, very vocal cat. I never heard anything like this. It's not like she is in pain, sjhe just wants someone. Deb

That's exactly how we got our most recent "housecat!" He was born out in the pasture somewhere, and showed up in our garage last winter when it got cold. Of course I fed him. He finally let me pet him and I brought him in the house, and now he's the tamest cat we have. He's a big ol' tom and he's never been to the vet, never had a shot, and he's the happiest, healthiest cat I think I've ever seen. All five of our cats are outside/inside cats, but we've never had a flea problem. The thing about our new cat, Pippin, is that because he had no human attention when he was young, he wants to make up for it now. He's my shadow, he follows me everywhere and loves to just lie in my lap or snuggle up next to me in bed. He can't get enough lovin'. Your little wild girl sounds the same. Are you sure you couldn't incorporate her into the household? If not, I'd at least try to find her a home where someone will love her, because she's obviously asking for some. ~Lannie

Lannie, Last night I walked over to one my neighbors who has little kids that I know are cat people to see if it was theirs, they knew who I could ask in the community, or wanted another cat. They have a flock of cats already ranging from really big full-grown to larger kittens. I live on the hwy on the outside edge of a very small town, that type that's struggling to stay on the map, that you would blink and miss if it weren't for the elevator and rr tracks, yet just a few miles from 2 larger cities. He has a theory that people just drop off their unwanted pets here, because that is how he and his brother that lives in the heart of the little town accumulated all theirs. The thing is before I let her in the house, I would definitely want a vet check up, like I did for mine, even though mine came from a vet's office in a dif little town. I thought maybe she would disappear in the night, but first thing this morning when I went out...Oh, I told you she is too tame. I think I used up all of her 9 lives by accidentally stepping on her. She keeps trotting into either of the porches underfoot as I carry stuff in. That squawking isn't quite as bad today, and my cat seems more at peace with her, just lies in the window looking at her, then sniffs me everytime I come in, but she at least isn't acting strange like she was yesterday morning, acting out. I think we are alright with the flea thing. I am sure I would have noticed that by now...Maybe it's worms I am more afraid of, and her ears look real dark inside. I think that is ear mites? There is stuff you can put in there and dig it out with q-tips?I suppose I can look this stuff up. I hate to say it, but I think I should just take care of some of theswe things, becasue I somehow have a feeling I am going to be able to loose this one. Please forgive any typing errors. For some reason, I am having a terrible time with my vision today, :-/Thank you. Deb
