Does you dog or cat ever get 'whiny' so to speak, when it is time for them to go to bed or they start to get sleepy? When I am off in the afternoon, my dog has to have a nap about 5PM. She starts her routine. She wants out, I let her out, she comes back in. (she walks out then turns around and walks back in the house) I think she wants something to eat, I feed her a small amount, she wants a treat, I give her one. She follows me around the house and just flops down when stop. Finally I have to make her lay down on her bed our the couch. With a minute she is snoring! The same thing happens when it is time to go to bed for the night. She gets so 'whiny' sometime she gets on my nerves. I know she just wants to be babied and for me to pay attention to her. She is SO spoiled! Does anyone else's pet gets like this?

My "favorite"cat is like this. He meows at me when he's ready to go to bed. He doesn't like it when I keep him up late!

Also, when I have been off a few days (like I was just off for 4) the day I go back to work, she just knows. She will mope around the house until I leave to go to work. She will follow me, when I stop, she just flops down. Or she will keep her eyes on me eveerthing I do. LOL
When I come home from work she acts like I have been gone for-ever. It is funny how they are just like kids.

Starfire, welcome to the wonderful world of parenting; even if your 'child' is four legged! Listening to your pups actions took me back to a time when Cody was about 3! I'm sounding like a bad mama but it's true; those little kids and pups do have some actions that are very similar.
