Everytime I want to go sit on the porch, the cats have taken over the bench! I put a piece of plywood on the bench so I don't end up with dirty pants...just remove wood, and tadaa...clean bench. After I scoot them off the bench, then they find a place to lounge on the wood on the porch. (The cats are going through a phase where they are not sure what color contact lenses they want so they are trying them all ;D) Or on the railing.. (watch out for lazer eye's, lol) Or back on the woodpile! Kind of funny because I had to use night flash on the camera because I took them early this morning...I think that is what caused all their eye's to change colors. I forgot to resize the pics too so they are big.

We started with one cat (isn't that how the saying goes, lol) the gray cat who's name is Frisky. Then some guy where my dh works had a pregnant cat that he didn't want to deal with so dh told him to bring it to work and he would bring it home. That cat he brought home had four orange male cats. We got the momma cat fixed and rehomed and kept the orange males.
So we have five cats altogether. Frisky, Prince, King, Boo and Russell....the kids named them, lol. I wanted barn cats, and these barn cats turned out to be porch cats who try to run in the house everytime you open the door.

If you ever want a barn cat or two I have two that if I re-homed to the right place I would bring in two more from rescue. They are outstanding mousers, fixed and UTD on shots. Friendly and prefer the outdoors than the inside. Can meet you in Tacoma or Portland I have Autumn, Amber, Toby, Piper, Rusty, Little Bit, Diamond, Miss Hiss, (AKA Miracle) and JJ (AKA butthead, the most obnoxious cat in the world.)

Cara, if you have some pics of the kitties or any of your critters, please share them-who knows if they're critters to be re-homed; we might find them a home with some good folks right from here. If you need help with downloading the pics, just send them to my e-mail and I'll be glad to post them for you. I love those names; especially Diamond-any special story behind that name?

Deb, the dog is looking at me with this weird look because your descriptions of the eye colors had me laughing out loud-he didn't know what the heck was going on with me! Your cats sure look like they're comfortable; I like the idea of the wood on the bench-I'm going to do that with mine since Lucky has big paws that hold a lot of mud. I found out that the Irfanview photo editor will repair red eye but not gold eye or blazing blue eye. I have a few of Lucky with laser gold eye but I'd used the auto setting. I guess we're just lucky to have lazer eyed pets. ;D

Diamond has a diamond shaped pattern in the back of her neck. The mousers who prefer to be outside, one is outside and always brings us birds, baby bunnies, mice, moles, etc. The other was an outdoor cat and wishes she was again. They have been with me 2 plus years and are welcome to stay here the rest of their lives, however if anyone wanted what I call a social mouser, I would consider re-homing them and use their space for another cat (s) in need. I'll post pictures later. Heading out to dinner.

Shhhh, don't talk about cats when my dd is in the room! She is the main reason we have 5 of them, lol. Besides the fact that all our cats prefer the porch to the barn, they are wonderful mousers, gophers, molers, and rabbiters. I think it has to do with the kids....they just can't help packing them around so they get really friendly and want to be around us.

You have a bunch of very nice looking cats there Deb! ;D They really are, they look so healthy and content. I'm drooling over the orange and white kitties, that color is my favorite colored kitty.
