I saw the little pic of Doofus that you're using for your avatar & wondered if you have any bigger ones? I can't make out his features very well but those legs look very long.  He must be what, about 7 mos old now? |

You are such a sweetie for asking! Dufus will be 5 1/2 months next week. Weighs 72 lbs, or close to it. Only way to weigh him is if we hold him and get on the scale we have here at home. With my weight and the dogs weight that won't continue much longer or we might break the scale, lol.   Dh was joking that we could always put on his halter and hang him on the meat scale.  I need to take more pictures but took two yesterday when I closed the gate we have on the deck, so I could wash the windows without his help. He didn't like that, lol. He messes up my windows soooo bad with his drool and muddy paws! The railing on the deck is 4 ft tall so you can see how tall he is when he is standing up looking over the gate.   He still hasn't grown into his paws, and is starting to get the sloppy jowls, lol. He snorts all the time like a St. Bernard. One ear wants to lay down like a St. Bernard, and the other looks more like the Australian Shepherd part of him. He really is a good dog, and smart too! He can sit, fetch, and shake hands. We are working on no jumping though. He is still collecting things though, and still brings the chickens into his dog house. So far, no chickens have been harmed, he just thinks they are his "toys." |

Boy,,, he is one big puppy!!
Sure is big enough to pull you around in one of those dogs carts!

A very cool-looking dog, bbird! He looks like a very happy guy, but he's definitely big enough to give any potential adversaries pause. Just the right balance. When our large German Shepherd was with us he had that balance too. Large and with 'the look', but a complete sweetheart. Too many liability issues (IMHO) to have some kind of genuine crazed attack dog. I just want certain folks to think he might be one.  |

Yeah, he is big enough to make people pause. He will do the job, because I just wanted a big dog who will bark and make someone pause while I get the shotgun,lol. It's kind of cute because right now he barks at people when they pull up, but as soon as they say something to him, his tongue comes out, his tail starts wagging and he turns into a big...well, Dufus! lol
