My freaky little Nem...She's trying to decide if the camera is actaully possessed... The itty bitty puppy...in her favorite sleeping position. Nem checking out the grill...She freaks out when anything is moved or different and REALLY can't stand us grilling because that means the top is open and therefore it's possessed of a spotted dog eating demon...

Too funny! Those are great pictures...Nem sure is a tiny puppy...not! lol
I think it is hilarious when big dogs sleep like that. Dufus sleeps like that too, usually right in front of the door we use. Dd always says "Man Dufus, that is so obscene" lol
Now this is the dog that was so skinny right? Looks really good now if that is the case. I like seeing your Danes, because I have only seen a grey dane in real life, so very surprised at the colors you have. You still have the two black gorgeous ones?

Cricket? What is the actual color of that one? Would it be a brown or chocolate harliquin?.... or do they have a totally diffrent name?

Cool dog, he's a really pretty color & pattern! If he's puppy sized, I can only imagine his adult size!

Nem is a blue merle. It's a fatal flaw in genetics and is not desirable. However, you often get merles from harl to harl breedings or from blue bred harls. Usually they have quite a bit of white on them but Nem doesn't...In fact, she's more chocolate than blue suggesting somewhere there is a fawn in the mix. You also get this "muddy" color from cross bred colors being crossed repeatedly. I know the sire was also a blue merle but I never saw the B*tch....I think she was supposed to be black but it's possible she was a line bred broken mantle which would also give her the mmR gene. I know that out of Nem's litter, 2 were born deaf and blind. Fortunately they had the presence of mind to have those 2 pts as pups. Nem is also very small even for a B*tch. I doubt she'll grow any more either....Her sire was very mastiffy and her brother is very tall and lanky. I guess she's just the runt....at 90#
Suzy is a fawniquin. Also a fatal flaw and undesirable. This is what is produced when neolithic morons decide to put a harliquin and a fawn together..And usually the Harl has fawn somewhere in the line. .Never mind the number of deformed, blind, deaf, or any combination of the above happen...Those breeders are out for money and they breed for the "rare" and "unusual" colors on purpose. This color almost never occurs in select, responsible breedings. I happen to know where she came from even though I'm not supposed to. They're byb's without concience...They couldn't sell her so they dumped her at the shelter and then lied about her age.
