How is Lucky doing? Have you started treatment yet for the heartworms?

No the treatment won't start until after the weather cools down. I'm not sure when that will be, the vet wants to wait till there's less mosquito's and it's still getting into the 80's. Cricket sent me some info about an alternative treatment for heartworms and I'm going to research it since it is a much less toxic way of getting rid of those horrible things. I look at him, all happy and playful and it's hard to believe there's such a potentially deadly condition going on in his little heart. Thanks for asking. I'm making sure I spend a lot of time with him & Goldie and letting him enjoy running and playing now-either treatment will require him to be sedate for close to 2 mos.

That would be wonderful if there was another "less toxic" way of handling it. Poor thing though, either way huh? I get so overwhelmed when something is wrong with the animals, so I imagine you are feeling that way too.
Thanks for updating me on what is going on, amazing how things I read on the forum go through our thoughts...I've thought of Lucky often.
