You have a cute assortment of critters! The expressions on Somber Eclipse is priceless.  Buzzy is so cute.  I used to raise hairless rats, they have neat personalities.  How do the cats and ferrets and rats get along-is it safe to have them all out at the same time even with supervision? Thanks for sharing, we all seem to be animal lovers. |

If you have nice cats (and nice ferrets) they get along great!!! You'd have to be more worried about the ferret killing the cat than the cat killing the ferret really. But they usually get along great! Bear kind of ignores them but Taji is really likeing playing with them. I had a ferret before these two named Kodo. Some stuff happened and I had to give him up. It was close to Christmas and I had the ferret blues so I got a pair again. All the cats were depressed while he was gone too. So now everyone is happy again.
Alf is bitey, but not in an agressive way. He thinks my fingers & hand is food. Just the other day he litterly tried to eat my finger. Tried to hand him a yogurt raisen and he took my finger instead and kept pulling it to his hammock and tried to eat it. Man do they have a firm grip!
My girls are a sweet heart, btw, Alf is fixed so he plays with the girls and lives with them. As long as he has Jade (his original cage mate) he's happy. I think he'd die without her.
As for the rats, Jade will attack the cats, but as a rule I don't let the rats out while the cats are out. I lock the cats up when I got the rats playing in the dining room. I set up cardboard walls so they can race around and have fun.
Oh and ferrets eat rats.. so yeah.. they don't go near each other.
