Meet Remy!



I went to Pet Smart looking for a job and clear across the room I spotted him. As soon as I walked up to the tank he went nuts. He started to dig and dig trying to get out. So I asked to hold him and he ran up my chest and gave me a bunch of ratti kisses! My heart melted but I couldn't bring him home at the moment. Next day I went back up there, same events, he got really excited and lots of kisses and I adopted him LOL He still gives a bunch of wonderful kisses! I've always wanted a dumbo and he's the very last rat I'll get until some cross the rainbow bridge.

Congrats on the new family member! I had a rat once... then again, I've had almost every pe at one point in my life ....... except ferrets. Something about them weirds me out. lol A friend of mine raised them and they were always creeping around eyeing ya up.

They all look so happy and well cred for. Where did you get Rem?

I got Remy from Pet Smart. Some places is a HUGE no no to get rats from there, but they come from a really good breeder and they keep the cages super clean. He didn't even have a ratti smell, he smelt like a clean cage lol. They also give them fresh vegis which is great.

I always try for the best foods for my pets. The cats don't get the very best, because I got so many but that may change in the near future if I get this job. Right now they eat Friskey's. Which is what Somber grew up on. She would only eat what her boyfriend (my friend's cat) would eat. So she grew up eating cat food. So far its the -only- thing she can eat too that doesn't upset her sensitive stomach. Maybe the more expensive brands will be fine on her tummy but we'll see. So far its the only thing that doesn't make her throw up.

Remy hated his new food, and refused to eat for a couple of days on it, but he's chowing down like a champ now. The only food rats seem to like is whats bad for them lol They hate the stuff thats good for them like the Nutro light dog food I get. Ordering some lab blocks soon too, since the dog food alone isn't good enough.

My ferrets eat Max. health kitten food. I am going to put them on a secondary ferret food to go with it once I find one that I like and don't have to order from the net. For now though, its great for them.

I moved Buzzy up to Kibble's and bits, and I think I'll be getting a new brand thats out thats suppose to be really good. Good Choice or something like that. Can't remember. He doesn't eat a lot so I can buy him something expensive (which I know KnB isn't) and it'll last forever, unless the cats end up likening it too.

oooo ratties!!!!! I love ratties!!!


I had a wonderful trained rat for 6 years, her name was Ghetto. SO SWEET! When whe passed on, we missed her so much we got Sugar, but sugar is not the same, not as smart or as friendly. But we still love Sugar.

Besides Sugar, what other pets do you have? You'll notice, we're pretty much all animal lovers here and we love pictures.

ooooo thats a can o worms! I have a lot of fur kids. The dog, sasha, the 2 cats, the ferret bandit, the bunny Buttons, Sugar of course, and my hubby is into lizards, snakes, tarrantulas and cockroaches.
