After loosing our best friend dog Sasha, the house jsut seemed so empty. We are going to look at a coon hound today and likely bring her home. I am excited and nurvours too as I've always only had old dogs not young dogs. I'll let you know if we bring her home.

The energy of a younger dog is very real but you're young & active so I'm sure you will make a good connection. Please include pics if possible, you know how much we all love our pets. Good Luck on your decision.

Look who we brought home. She is around a eyar and a half, and is a complete joy and sweet heart!!!
She had gotten lost hunting (so they think) but nobody had claimed her. she had been adopted out once before to a farm but another dog tried to kill her and bit her bad in the throat (she is still on antibiotics for that) and was returned to the hound rescue group. She has a very good nose! She can smell our pet rat from several rooms away. (we had to hide them in a shut room because she was howling at the rat) shes cought scent of wildlife who pass through our yard and sure let us know about it too LOL. Inside she is very well behaved and is not bad on a leeseh but will have to learn a few manners yet. She sure is smart and is already learning house rules even after being home for a few hours. Now she is zonked out on the couch.

She looks like she made herself right at home! What a sweet face, are those speckles a standard coloration on coonhounds? I've never had one but I have had beagles so I know about the howling! Will she be an indoor doggie or an outdoor doggie? I think if she has her way, that couch will be well guarded! Congratulations, btw what's her name?
