Ben is due in May so he's definitely a spring baby. 
I've found the fabrics but I wondered what is the best kind of filling for a baby quilt? Since spring & summer are usually fairly warm/hot in KY should I make the filling less heavy?
I'd thought about standard batting as well as using a doubled fleece panel. I'm so new/inexperienced that I don't know what other choices might be better.
This is to be a practical quilt but also one that can be handed down through the generations.
