Tonight I went and looked at a Janome 6500 pro sewing machine. It's home now. I'm trading in a Janome 4623LE and getting about 2/3 of what I originally paid for it. This machine was on sale before the trade in, so I'm happy with the deal. this is one BIG machine. So I'm about it. Angie (I'm a Janome sewing machine fan.)

With the amount of sewing and the impressive types of sewing you do; I'm sure a Pro model is a very good investment. I bet you can't wait to start using the new one; congratulations on the upgrade. I on the other hand, have a basic Brother machine. I can't justify a better model when hems and basic straight stitching seem to be my claims to fame! ;D

Got to tell on myself....
I was doing a few quilt blocks between larger projects, and the corner went down in the thread area and bunched up with the bobbin. Well, this happens and I worked it out.
BUT, then the darn machine would not stitch more than 2 stitches and bunch up. I thought, OH NO, give me my traded in mechanical machine. Might have to pay the difference, and get it back for a spare.
I fiddled and fumed, and cleaned the bobbin and the casing and checked stuff out for at least an hour - figuring on Monday it was going back to shop to see if I'd bent anything when workingout the knot.
I went a watched my grandkids - while they slept- for a couple of hours, then came home. Thought - okay, lets try one more time.
Looked at the threadeing and the thread take up leaver didn't have the top thread going thru it... WHAT!!!
I threaded it, and tried again. It sews beautifully...... Operator error...!!!
This thread take up leaver is more recessed in the body of the machine than some of the others I'm use to.
so, now it's sewing fine, and I'm a un-worried happy camper again.

Angie, I admire anyone that can handle a sewing machine. I am terrible at it.
