What's your favorite quilt design?  Mine would have to be the Lone Star. I love that design and although I'll probably never accomplish that major undertaking-I can admire everyone elses handiwork.   |

I like your lonestar, but I want to do what I consider a real Texas lonestar that is 5 points. They have them in the concrete at the TX rest stops and I've taken a photo so I can try it some time.
Right now, I like the tumbling blocks and attic window cause they are both like optical illusions.
And I'm thinking of sometime trying a stained glass window type. And also would love to sit down and do a cathedral window with black as the neutral and jewel tones in the windows. I once did a pillow top in those colors and loved it.

Neat, I'd never seen the 5 point star patterns before you mentioned them. Is the one you're hoping to do like this one?  I had to go search out a pattern with instructions. I think it could be adapted into the Texas Star. 5 point Star Quilt Pattern |

That's the pattern I want....
The star is almost like the one in the concrete at the rest stop... I could make it...
