Ok...Ang said she wanted pics so I'm posting pics. I want to figure out how to make this purse reversable. I'm selling these and I want people to get the most value out of them as is possible. Take 30"sq, rst... sew like a pillow, turn press and topstitch turn sq on diagonal and fold 2 corners in 1/3 of the way and sew the little square in the middle (difficult but possible) Fold in the middle with the pockets to the outside and sew the side seams and put on a handle... Now...I made a purse out of a record for show and tell...

How cute! Do you ever do anything with leather?

hmmm...okay, there is a very good chance that I have no idea what I'm talking about but that's never stopped me before so... ;D Instead of sewing a square in the middle, could you use a double button (one on each side) and add button holes to the other two flaps? To reverse it, you'd just unbutton and flip over. To keep the contents of the purse from falling out of the front side of the purse, you could fold the bottom flap up first and (bring it up higher than you normally would) attach the buttons to it and then put button holes in the two side flaps. You won't have quite the same "envelope" look but maybe it's close enough? As far as the strap, from the pictures it looks like you could put grommets on each side (punch the hole from the inside of the side to the outside of the side, not from front to back through 2 layers) and put a ring through each one. Attach the handle to the rings then when you flip it over to reverse it, the rings will allow the handle to lie normally. I can tell from the pictures that you are WAY crafty-er than I am so if my ideas don't work, at least maybe they'll inspire you. I love love love the fabric in the top pictures - beautiful!!! /VM

I got 2 sample books of leather from a friend of mine and I haven't come on a really good idea to use them for yet. I had wanted to do a coverlet with a heavy flannel backing but I'm not sure how I should go about it. Anything else I want to do, the samples aren't in big enough squares. So...to answer your question in a round about way, no I don't... ;D
I may have to try the button idea. Maybe if I made some little "make up" pouches to go with them so stuff wouldn't be falling out... I'm gonna have to think about this one...

Check HGTV online. I saw them do a lined tote bag once. Look under Carol Duvall's show.
