I made this bedspread for my Momma as a Christmas gift back in 1987. It took several months to complete, maybe 6? Can't remember exactly now. I do remember starting it in January and that I finished up some time mid-year.  This is it on an antique cast iron bed in the guest room.  I took this shot of it spread out on our waterbed.  I hope this shows the detail a little better. This was an Ann Orr pattern dating back to the early 1900's. It is crocheted in blocks and then the blocks are crocheted together. The wheat pattern was very popular. I just did a simple shell stitch around the edge. |

That is just absolutely beautiful. What a talent you have.
Have you entered your bedspread in any fairs or craft shows ?

I think your really under estimating your talent. I would enter them. Try it, just for grins, I think you might be surprised.

That is beautiful! I have worked with crochet cotton and know just how time consuming it is.
Not sure I would have the patience to finish once I got started....lol

That is really beautiful! I'd be so proud of the only block that I'd actually finish that it would end up framed on the wall.
