OK,, I found this very pretty Ribbon in a fabric store in Leavenworth WA way back when. I like to put it on bridles and stuff like that. I now live too far away. Have not been able to find any on line...which is strange.
The ribbon is cloth and stitched with pretty, but simple designs and in a Traditional old German or Scandinavian designs. Like the type found on folk clothing.
Does anyone know a source where I can buy some ribbon like that?

I bought some ribbon with those type of designs when I was making Cody a pair of Leiderhosen(sp?) for a camp skit. I got mine from the Uffda Shop in Red Wing, MN It's a Scandinavian/Norse shop with wonderful & authentic items ;D Here's the link to the address & phone number. www.uffdashop.com/

Costumes are much more fun.... and seem to be simpler ssewing instructions if using a comercial pattern.
Any-who, I really like costumes, and 'different' stuff to sew.

I love different stuff. Some of it I can get away with wearing...other stuff is still hanging in my closest. Sigh ~~
Have this simple but pretty plum colored pure linen Medieval dress..that I get to wear once every couple of years.
Hubby has an Viking outfit,, Wool pants and rest of it is Linen..have never gotten him in it. He would also look smashing good in a Kilt.....haven't gotten him in one of those either. Though he does like going to the Scottish games.
