Hi - I thought I'd post this here, but I know a few of you have seen it over on HT> Some of us are trying out the Cathedral Window quilt pattern starting next week. This is not a swap, just some of us trying whatever size in whatever color we want. And encouraging each other. www.sewing.com/projects/cathedralwindow/index.shtmlThese are good instructions with photos. I'm not going to be putting buttons on mine. There are other instructions on the internet if you decide to give it a try and want another point of view. So. just thought I'd share.... Angie

Years back when I was more patient, I used to make these, Angie. The neat thing about them is they also make beautiful pillows if you keep a color theme in mind. That way in case you get bored with the project, you can still make it into something useful. :)Deb

Deb - we are just doing something small. Coasters, placemat, or pillow top.... Just giving it a try.

Be careful. They're addictive. I've wanted to do a full quilt but I HATE cutting out the original squares. I did a dress for dd one Easter and had cathedral windows along the skirt and on the sleeves. It was beautiful!

It was sort of stained glass looking. Bright-ish pastely-ish colors. They were "over dyed" and sort of splotchy. I know I kept the dress but I don't know in which trunck it's in or I'd take a picture of it for you. If I find it I'll do that.
